Why Reach the Yadav?

God's Reasons

God loves the Yadav people and desires that none of them should perish (2 Peter 3:9). God desires instead that they would receive the gift of eternal life found in Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, most Yadavs die never hearing the Good News about Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 states that "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Given this knowledge of salvation, the Apostle Paul asked this question "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?" (Romans 10:14-15).

1 John 4:19 states, "We love because he first loved us." Because God first loved us, we are to love others. This love of Jesus Christ is what drives us to Reach the Yadav.

Strategic Reasons

There are 56 Million Yadav - Nearly 1% of the world's population.
The Yadav are the third largest people group in India.
They are the fifth largest unreached people group of the 100 most unreached in the world (according to the Joshua Project).
Most live in the heart of darkness under the influence of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, and Islam.
The Yadav have access to multiple caste levels because of their trade as milkmen and cattle herders.
There are a key to reaching North India.
They are open to the Gospel.
